Recruitment is a fundamentally solved problem, albeit one with a bunch of hidden complexity. We know how to find people. We can shape roles and present them in an engaging manner. It’s easy to structure processes that evaluate skills fairly and equitably. So why is it still done so badly?
I have 30 years experience in technology, spanning strategic HR, talent acquisition, digital marketing, team building, senior leadership, coaching and inclusivity. As the first ever Global Head of Recruitment for software consulting firm ThoughtWorks, I shaped the talent agenda that took them from a reactive recruiting function to an award-winning, technology-enabled talent team hiring over 1000 technologists a year.
